Until 3 years ago I had the old “Micro Nikkor 2.8 / 60 AF on my D70 and D80 s in use. This lens was and still is for me beyond any doubt, just incredibly good processing of this metal is bolides I believe no other lens of this price class nearly reached. After seeing the old “lack of motives had sold, I have now after a long Umhersuchen, endless reading of many test reports and, not least because of the good reviews here at amazon for a new acquisition of the new Nikon 60s Micro AF-S decided.
First impression / Processing: The lens makes the opposite product photos, which is always a bit plastikm?ssig “r?berkam an extremely high quality processed and really solid impression. The bayonet lens body together is absolutely no doubt on professional applications and I am sure that even with tougher strain no mechanical problems to be expected. The lens is excellent in the hand, the bayonet bomb sits firmly in the camera. A clear point of criticism of the reconstruction of the 60s is the extremely wide front is the front lens, which the old model by more than the tube was super protected. In the new version is to use the supplied lens hood is an absolute must, if only to protect the front lens, which makes the lens but unnecessarily larger and requires (at least in my photo bag) a permanent set-up and removal of same.
Handling / Image: Because of the no longer existing aperture ring is the handle to check whether the correct aperture to the smallest value is locked and it says lens start and go. The autofocus makes the designation AF-S really all honor. Lightning fast and really close to the lens to slide silently into the focus area and sharp. Something better, I have not experienced this yet. The sharpness of the lens on my D300 is beyond any doubt, I have had from the first moment of razor-sharp images. As in many other tests mentioned, I can also confirm that the sharpness at open aperture is perfect and that dim (at least according to my perception) is no longer lets significantly increase. And I, as a user of a DX-sensor camera so generally the risk of blurred images combative, so I have a dim avoid as much as possible, since these lenses do not like the new 105er on a VR Micro has. The sharpness, however, is not in any great distance range. From Macro 1:1 to about 4-5 meters away motif I really very very good results, anything over 5 meters, it is noticeably vague, “I will not here the word deliberately blurred” use, because I know that here the critical Nikon D300 < -> Objketivtyp problem starts. (Meanwhile I have a lot of lenses tested and is not in itself a single place, the distance over the entire area a truly equal sharpness would have achieved – and no, I DO NOT send my camera to Nikon service, because it is not on the camera is located)
Now to the 2 for my criticisms of the existing lens, which for me, however, were so serious that I returned it to you: First, it is almost impossible with this lens at shorter motif Entfernungsbreichen (approximately 2-3 meters) a somewhat tolerable depth of focus to achieve. Especially for portraits, for which the lens is so perfect, it is almost impossible for both the nose and the eyes of the model equally sharp manner. The recoverable TS extends to a few centimeters, thus producing more usable Committee as images. The second major point of criticism, which I think is even worse: The AF-S 60 caused my camera to a blatant blue-pink color, especially in the portrait photography at extremely unnatural skin tones leads. Even under severe sunlight or different time of day, situations I could not eliminate this problem. This problem I have with any other lens had previously used, so I concur Fehleinstellung at the camera.
Who’s with these problems has to struggle, certainly gets a super lens, especially at a very fair price. I have paid 500 EUR for the current price of 449 EUR, this lens almost be described as a bargain. I give 4 out of 5 stars.
Oh yes, one more thing: Thanks to amazon for the turbo-shipping! Class as always!
