[Sigma 10-20 EX DC HSM] This price exceeds my expectations!

I was looking for a super wide angle for my Nikon D 80, under the following criteria:
- Not unaffordable
- Compact and lightweight
- Focal lengths at the lower end of what is possible (Zoom I had a good)
- And of course the best possible super wide-angle optics!
I’m so on the Sigma 10-20mm rise, and must say: viewed, purchased, used and love!

The man at the small size and hence the low weight (I use it mainly for sports photos when climbing and mountain biking) are not yet sus?tzlich a continuous light intensity of 2.8 or so may require areas of the physical laws of optics!

Nevertheless, the processing exceeds my opinion good Nikor lenses! The function is top! The imaging results of exactly what we evolved from a super-wide expected.

I’ve long sought, and many different lenses not only viewed but also tried out my camera.

In this price range I have nothing even ann?herd so high quality and functional place like this lens – Sgima Congratulations!

Here is another comment. Like several other reviews mentioned, it really is a super sub. The picture quality is not least because of the UD lens aperture and the 8 strips absolutely on “L”-level super-contrast, super color. I own the part have already been over a year, but I am always thrilled with animal photos and sports photography. Even the full moon can show sharp, from the hand even better than the tripod. I recently had a sports event (Sponsorenlauf) photographed over 300 images. Not one blurred or fehlbelichtet. The auto focus works on the 40D is fully reliable, although one at the front of the Ger?del lenses when tracking the sharp point always used to (there’s also lots of glass to move). This is also the only drawback: the rotating front lens. This is cumbersome and takes a round lens hood long after that, which looks like a cannon tube! But this is probably the concession to the price. L lenses cost so otherwise than 1000 .

I have done my lens and I’m thrilled. The zoom range is for all current circumstances absolutely sufficient. Annoying lens shift and lug a large photo bag are only very rarely needed.

In relation to the purchase price to get here in my opinion really a good all-round lens offered:

1. Of course, there are at a 11-fold zoom distortion, especially in the wide area. Compared to other super-zooms, but are under and can be with the appropriate software (eg DXO) easy to remove. If you absolutely can not tolerate distortion, which must remain fixed focal length – and consequently a large supply of lenses growth.

2. I feel the lens is the price accordingly. It is not labberig but feels quite equivalent to. It has decent weight, fits comfortably in your hand and is clean and smooth zooming. The autofocus is fast and very quiet.
